Growers and industry experts were able to tap into the know-how of the BBRO and embrace the latest technology and techniques to continue the development of the UK sugar beet crop.

Other attractions of the one-day conference included; trade exhibits, a wide range of presentations, international speakers and access to industry experts.

The conference was a welcome return to the Peterborough Arena, which has hosted the annual event since 2008.

Paul Bee, BBRO Communications Manager said, “We have used the Arena for our national conference for a number of seasons and the venue provides a fantastic facility for the conference. This years’ appearance from Adam Henson was a great success and provided farmers with an insight into how they can get more involved in promoting the positive aspects of what they do on their farm – especially the home-grown sugar industry!”

Peterborough Arena managing director Keith Dalton said: “The national conference was a huge success and we were once again delighted to assist organisers in delivering an important industry event to a high volume of people.”
