On December 12th 2019 at the East of England Arena, the National Association of Agricultural Contractors (NAAC) will be making sure the contracting sector is ready to take on a changing farming industry, both financially, technically and in good health.

Entitled, ‘Fit for the Future’, the morning conference will drill down into new farm and environmental policy, whilst examining how contractors can take up new land management challenges with their finances under control. Professionalism will be key and the NAAC will be seeking out ways that contractors can demonstrate, promote and benefit from their unique status as farmers without land.

However, the life of a contractor can be very demanding and stressful, and the NAAC will also be stimulating discussion on mental and physical health to keep all the cogs in the contracting wheel turning smoothly.

Commenting, Charlie Baker, NAAC Chairman said, ‘Contractors play a vital role in UK farming with over 90% of farmers using a contractor. At the NAAC we are fighting for the future of our industry and it is critical that the industry stands united together. I urge all land-based contractors to put the 12 December in their diary, come along and see how they can get involved.’

Generously sponsored by John Deere, the event will also feature a packed exhibition hall featuring the best machinery and services, focussed on the specialist needs of agricultural contractors.
