Frontier Agriculture and precision farming leaders, SOYL will team up LAMMA 2020 to demonstrate how technology accessed through the MyFarm online platform can be used by growers to help manage every aspect of their farm business.

Live and interactive demonstrations

Visit our stand at to see demonstrations of MyFarm on giant interactive screens.  MyFarm is available to all customers of Frontier and its divisions.  Among the aspects being demonstrated will be:

MyAccount:

Access to financial, contractual and movement information as well as a full history of grain sample results. Copy invoices, statements, account balances and movement information are available instantly whenever the grower needs them.

Crop records and agronomy:

MyFarm links directly to both Muddy Boots’ Greenlight Grower Management and Gatekeeper from Farmplan to enable efficient transfer and storage of recommendation and application records.

MySOYL Precision data:

Customers can access all of their precision information via the MySOYL application within MyFarm.

Data security and account control:

MyFarm customer data is stored safely and can only ever be accessed by users authorised by the customer themselves. It might be that a grower chooses to give their sprayer operator access to their crop records so they can load details of input application. The key is that the customer chooses and controls who has access to what.

Mobile access:

MyFarm works on mobile devices. Whether it is checking grain prices, the latest grain sample results or planned grain movements it doesn’t matter where you are, if you have signal you can do it.

Tom Parker, commercial manager – digital for Frontier says: “In 2019 we launched a major upgrade to MyFarm which introduced a more joined up system that is easier and faster to use. It delivers uncomplicated yet powerful management tools which are accessible in one place, alongside comprehensive data that can be analysed more easily to improve business performance and the bottom line.  We’re looking forward to showing MyFarm to growers at LAMMA.”

NEW: Manage farm profitability with MySOYL ‘margin tool’

A recently launched suite of MySOYL analysis tools is enabling growers to look at a range of financial performance metrics across their land and the complete farm rotation.

These new margin map tools take analysis to a new level giving farmers with yield map data the ability to easily create maps showing income, gross margin and net margin for each part of their land.

Simon Parrington, commercial director for SOYL says: “We’re expecting this new tool to be one that attracts a lot of interest at the show and looking forward to demonstrating it. Being able to look at the profitability of each part of the field is useful in terms of informing agronomy decisions but also in identifying areas where an environmental scheme may be a better use of part of the field.

“It’s important to be able to look at multiple layers of yield and profitability data as in some cases, parts of fields will look profitable in one year/crop type but deliver much poorer results for other crops.  The MySOYL margin map tool lets farmers select multiple years and build a more complete picture of cumulative gross or net margin, often with surprising results. With growers starting to look forward to a new era of agricultural payments and the rising importance of ‘natural capital’ management it’s easy to see how this tool could be used to earmark areas better suited to environmental schemes.”
