MX Extends Control

Already offering a comprehensive choice of loader controls to meet all customer requirements, MX has now introduced a new model to the range. The new ePilotS adds a new dimension to loader controllers – its size. With all the functions of a larger joystick, the electronic ePilotS weighs in at 280g and is only 140mm high, compared to the 220mm of the current ePilot. At a third smaller and three times lighter in weight, this miniature control is easily integrated into the cab, is straightforward to use and extremely reliable with proven MX technology.

Fitting is dependent on the cab armrest, and is installed to suit the user in the optimal position. For example, on a standard armrest, a multifunctional armrest or even in the armrest space (cup holder). According to the assembly method chosen, the ePilotS can be supplied with an integral palm rest as standard. Whatever the situation there is an ergonomic answer.

A key feature unique to MX and the ePilotS is that when the loader is not in use the joystick can be removed from its bracket and stored in a change tray or alternatively, as an optional extra, on a similar storage bracket elsewhere in the cab. Leaving the working area free.

For the operator, the ePilotS includes the principal functions expected from a loader control.

  • Two axis joystick: lift/descend and crowding/dumping
  • Three accessible buttons for 3rd function/4th function (optional),
bucket shake and Auto Level (optional)
  • Additional buttons for electric floating position and continuous 3rd
function (pumping), actuation of SMART-SHOCK, SHOCK ELIMINATOR (optional) and FAST-LOCK/SPEED-LINK (optional)
To explain the shock technology, the standard SHOCK ELIMINATOR uses hydraulics (nitrogen reservoir) to absorb shocks; there is an option of electronic actuation. The SMART-SHOCK function is electronically controlled and softens the start and stop of each movement when lifting or lowering the loader.
In addition to vision and sound when a function is engaged, the handle vibrates so that the user receives a clear signal. Similarly, when the Auto- Level option reaches its position the joystick again vibrates to let the user know.
To sum up, the ePilotS offers a hand shape with palm rest (if required), fingertip grip, ease of use in a small unit which gives optimal ergonomics and cab integration.

Compatible with MX F300, A100, A400 and TX 400 loaders, the ePilotS will be available from May this year.
The price for the ePilot S (basic functions) is an additional £695 retail, above a conventional cable control loader, increasing to £995 for the ePilot S+ (mid-range with 3rd function roller).
