The Cereals Event is returning to Cambridgeshire in 2022 and is enjoying strong demand from exhibitors keen to get back to events. Indeed, some exhibitor areas have already sold out, with several big names getting their bookings in early.

“This year, some exhibitors were understandably nervous about attending any events,” explains event organiser Alli McEntyre. “So we’re delighted that they are so keen to get back out in 2022. Given the strong re-bookings we had from 2021 exhibitors, Cereals is already full in several categories including the Syngenta Sprays & Sprayers Arena.”

Sprayer exhibitors include New Holland, John Deere, Amazone, Knight Farm Machinery, Househam Sprayers, OPICO, Cousins of Emneth, Lynx Engineering, Sands Agricultural Machinery, Merse Bargam and more.

Extra space

In addition, the general machinery exhibition area and working demos are sold out this year, so extra space has been set aside to accommodate them. General machinery exhibitors include KRM, McHale, Garford, Zurn, Saveco and Tillso, while those putting their kit into action include New Holland, J Brock, Mzuri, Claydon Drills, Agxeed, Horizon Agriculture and Kuhn.

“We have made some changes to the layout of the event this year, bringing the AHDB and New Era theatres into one area, so it is easier for visitors to switch between alternate seminars,” explains Ms McEntyre. “We’re also delighted to have included the wheat and barley Recommended List plots and are hosting a crop plot day with exhibitors to discuss autumn establishment and growth.”

Other exhibitors returning for 2022 include KWS, Corteva, Bayer, Concept Farm Machinery, Cross Agricultural Engineering, Fram Farmers, Senova, Just Oats and more. And demand for space in the NAAC Drainage Hub – new in 2021 – has also grown, making for an expanded area in 2022. Exhibitors include Mastenbroek, Miles Drainage, Farm Service, William Morfoot, Mitchell-Rowland, Cotterills and DMJ Drainage. The NAAC has also added a Seed Processing Hub to its pavilion, where exhibitors will share their capabilities and best practices.

“Cereals 2022 is already shaping up to be a great edition returning to Cambridge,” says Ms McEntyre. “With demand from existing, returning and new exhibitors, alongside a revamped layout and favourite features like the Crop Plots and NIAB Soil Hole, we’re really excited about the year ahead.”

Agronomist & Arable Farmer

Reflecting this evolution is a new primary media partner, Lewis Business Media, which publishes Agronomist & Arable Farmer, Farm Contractor and Large Scale Farmer. “We are absolutely delighted to be named as media partners with the Cereals event,” says managing director Simon Lewis.

“Over the years Lewis Business Media has grown its agriculture portfolio and this is the culmination of many years of hard work since we moved into the agriculture sector. Cereals is a highlight of the arable year and we are looking forward to working with the team on the next instalment of this high profile industry event.”

  • The Cereals Event will be held near Duxford, Cambridgeshire on 8-9 June 2022. For more information or to register for tickets visit cerealsevent.co.uk.
