Potato Science Live tackles new agronomy topics for 2020 season

This season’s series of Syngenta Potato Science Live events are set to give growers and agronomists an exciting insight into some of the future technologies designed to enhance the efficiency and profitability of potato crop production.

The format of these popular events provides a chance to quiz specialists in new industry agronomy and technology, covering a range of topics from planting through to harvest and storage.

New topics to be addressed at meetings include:

  • Potato blight genotype changes and effects on control strategies
  • Crop desiccation options after diquat
  • Managing increasing challenges of wireworm
  • Integrated control of PCN populations
  • New Closed Transfer System for spray application

Speakers include the AHDB, potato agronomists and consultants, along with Syngenta potato and application specialists.

Potato Science Live will provide a first look at a range of future agronomy opportunities, along with some ideas and practical measures that can be readily implemented this season. The nationwide events will be held at:
