Berthoud’s new Tracker 4000 trailed sprayer is designed to fill a gap between the entry-level 3000 model and the company’s high-spec Vantage. It’s a single-axle machine, with the option of Actiflex 2 suspension, offering a capacity of 4,000 litres in the spray tank.
Axiale B2 and B3 booms are available for a maximum working width of 33m, with full suspension and a double anti-yaw device on both the frame and on each side of the boom. Ultrasonic sensors are available for automated boom height control.
Continuous circulation is an option, with RTS low pressure priming, AGP continuous circulation or full pneumatic individual nozzle control. Full Isobus compatibility is also available.
Spray pump options include the BP 280 piston diaphragm unit, offering 235 litres/min, or the Hardi 330 litres/min system for increased capacity.
New Agrifac range
With the Condor being phased out, Agrifac highlighted its revamped sprayer range with the Vanguard 55 and 67, and the Endurance 80 self-propelled machines.
Powered by a Cummins engine, there is a choice of 210 or 288hp on the 55; 288 or 345hp on the 67; and a 405hp power unit fitted to the Endurance. Bosch hydraulics has replaced the Linde system, which the company says will result in reduced residuals, saving time and water when cleaning out the machine. The GreenFlow+ system has also been adapted with fewer angles throughout the piping to improve performance.
Each machine is fitted on the StablioPlus suspended chassis and can be specified with a wide range of J-booms, with working widths extending out to 55m on the Endurance. The classic Condor design, with a platform behind the cab for checks, has also been retained on the Endurance and on the Vanguard 55.
Each machine can be set up to suit the conditions, with Vanguard machines available in the MountainMaster specification, which oscillates the chassis to follow side slopes while keeping the sprayer body level. All three models also offer the hydraulic WideTrack system to suit different tramline and bed widths.
