Fendt is upgrading its Ideal combine range with increased cleaning capacity, a greater separation area and a lower total cost of ownership for UK and Irish operators.
According to the company, the new CyclonePlus cleaning system, which was implemented for model year 2026, has performed well this harvest. The system features a redesigned pre-sieve with 1.0 m² of concave area, 8% wider sieves and a revised airflow concept. Together, these changes increase cleaning capacity by approximately 25%.
“Customers using this new cleaning system have reported even better grain quality, with lower losses across a wide range of settings. An optional slope performance kit optimises crop distribution on the top sieve when harvesting on side slopes,” says Fendt’s Ed Dennett.
Fendt has also reduced the number of Ideal balance cleaning configurations from five to one, simplifying crop conversion and enabling switching from grain to maize with only a sieve change.
Also, it has removed all blanking plates from the Helix processor on the Ideal 8 and 9, replacing them with finger separation grates. This increases the total separation area by 27% on the Ideal 8 and 12% on Ideal 9. All four models now share the same rotor configuration.
“The 2027 model year will feature a Hi-Wear package for the feed area and feed drum across the entire range. Wear plates in the feed area have been upgraded from stainless steel to Hardox, and the front wear plate and bolt guard are also made from Hardox. These changes extend the service life of key wear components and reduce the machine’s total cost of ownership,” adds Ed.
An expanded Hi-Wear option adds a stainless steel base plate for the crop elevator and hard-chromed augers throughout the machine. Fendt recommends this option for operators harvesting large areas of maize and soya beans.
2027 models also come with a redesigned mounting system for wear plates on the front rotor scrapers. The new system uses self-locking nylon nuts and bolts of strength class 10.9, providing a more stable fix that withstands torque under demanding harvesting conditions without additional welding.
Ideal combines also get a new straw and chaff spreader kit, which uses two hydraulically driven centrifugal discs with adjustable spread width to distribute crop residues without shredding.
“This can be fitted in place of the straw chopper and spreader to help reduce unnecessary wear when working in maize,” adds Ed.
