No sooner had we posted news that 25% of the £233m SFI Window 2 budget had been allocated based on applications received so far, than Defra announced it has now increased to 75%.
Window 2 is open to farmers and land managers who, at the point they start an application, provided they are:
- registered with the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) so have a Single Business Identifier (SBI)
- have at least 3ha of eligible agricultural land linked to that SBI
This includes those with existing ELM revenue agreements that expire by the end of February 2027.
Farmers and land managers who were eligible in Window 1 but didn’t submit an application can also apply in Window 2.
