Oxford Agricultural Trials (OAT) is set to launch a new 360-degree virtual trials tour capability.

According to OAT, it offers an immersive experience designed to supplement traditional trial tours and overcome the limitations of conventional methods. The trial tour allows users to take a bird’s eye view, walk around the site, and focus in at plot level, providing a comprehensive understanding of the work.

“We hope this resource will revolutionise the way our clients and customers can interact with our field trials, making them more accessible to a wider number of colleagues with huge potential for cost savings through reduced travel and time away from desks.

“We believe that this new approach will not only enhance our field trials but also foster greater collaboration and knowledge sharing. It represents our commitment to leveraging technology to drive advancements in R&D,” said MD Chris Kay.

This year marks four decades of field research. “Since our inception in 1984, we have been driven by a vision to revolutionise agronomic science and empower the industry through excellence in crop research. We remain steadfast in our commitment to this vision,” he added.
