CNH sells plough business

Case New Holland (CNH) has announced the sale of its agricultural plough business to a German company, Faircap. CNH has offered ploughs and cultivators under the New Holland brand since purchasing Kongskilde at the end of 2016.

A statement from CNH reads: ‘CNH has finalised its sale of its agricultural plough business to Faircap. This includes the Överum factory in Sweden, with 70 employees, all intellectual property and inventory. Överum is a sub-brand of Kongskilde.

‘This decision is part of CNH’s commitment to focus its research and development, manufacturing and commercial sales efforts on its core product line.’

There’s no official word on whether the deal includes the cultivation range that was produced alongside ploughs, but given the wording of the statement, this is likely to be the case.
