Sharp drop in November tractor sales

LinkedIn +

Following a strong performance in October, the number of tractors registered in November fell year-on-year by 43.1% down to 414 units.

This was also more than a third down compared to the seasonal average, however, the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) states that the total for October and November is very close to the seasonal mean.

The AEA added that it’s currently difficult to say whether this is a blip or the start of a downturn in the market. The combined October and November registrations are down year-on-year, but manufacturers were working through the backlog caused by the COVID-19 pandemic last year.

Registrations from January to November remain slightly higher than in 2022, at 11,123 machines – a 1.6% increase.
