Lynx Engineering has announced the new RT Series of weights, extending the company’s existing ballast range. The new units will be showcased at Lamma, comprising a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) outer skin moulded around a concrete filling.
HDPE can reportedly resist corrosion, cracks and deformation, as well as being impact resistant. It is also impervious to water, solvents, acids, detergents and cleaning fluids, and will not peel or discolour therefore maintaining its appearance throughout its working life.
The company adds that since no paint is used, and the units are developed using recycled concrete and polyethylene, the environmental impact of the weights is significantly reduced.
The range runs from 800kg up to 1,200kg, with certain models including an integrated 45-litre capacity toolbox. Each comes with a mounting for front linkages and top links and can be branded with the customer’s logo if required.
