Väderstad upgrades Tempo T planter

Väderstad has launched a completely redesigned version of its mounted telescopic planter, the Tempo T. The update is to facilitate the wide range of crops, field conditions and farming systems found today, ensuring accurate planting over different row spacings.

The new Tempo T features a unique telescopic frame designed to offer greater versatility, easier adjustment and improved performance in the field.

Two models are available: the six-row Tempo T 6 and the seven-row Tempo T 7. The T 6 offers row spacings of 450, 500, 600, 700 and 750 mm, the Tempo T 7 can be set to 500, 600 or 800 mm. When operating at 800 mm row spacing, one row unit is raised, allowing the machine to plant six rows.

Changing the row spacing is simple, Väderstad suggests. The operator pulls out a handle positioned on the side of the machine, selects the required spacing and pushes the handle back in. A mechanical linkage then adjusts all the rows simultaneously.

Once the row spacing has been selected, the operator activates the telescopic frame hydraulically from the tractor cab to complete the change. The unfolding process is clearly displayed in Väderstad E-Control, our iPad-based control system.

Sensors built into the machine communicate the selected row spacing to the iPad in the tractor cab, helping ensure accurate adjustment and straightforward setup.
