Martin Lishman Ltd has announced the launch of the new Barn Owl Wireless Web App, the most significant upgrade to its crop store monitoring and control system since it was first introduced in 2010.

Barn Owl Wireless is an award-winning remote monitoring and fan control system, designed to help farmers and grain store managers maintain the quality of stored crops.

It remotely tracks temperatures, humidity and CO2 and automatically controls ventilation fans to ensure efficient, energy-saving crop cooling. The system helps reduce spoilage, improve grain quality, save energy and simplify compliance with crop assurance schemes.

Shaped by customer feedback and rebuilt using the latest web technologies the new app offers a faster and more user-friendly experience, compatible with all devices and can be accessed from anywhere in the world.

The upgrade introduces custom alerts, which allow users to set tailored warnings for specific equipment or store conditions and receive instant email notifications. A newly developed graphing package delivers faster data processing and clearer visuals, helping users monitor crop conditions and trends more efficiently, suggests the company.

Another key addition is the Notes feature, enabling users to log important store changes and share updates between team members. This supports better collaboration and enhances record keeping, especially for compliance and crop assurance purposes.

“This upgrade reflects everything our customers have asked for,” says Martin Lishman Ltd MD Joel Capper. “We’ve created a system that reflects the way farmers work today – smarter, faster, and ready for the future.”
