Biostimulant drone pack launched to refine application

Edwards Seaweed Fertiliser UK used Cereals to launch The Edwards Drone Pack, a new ready-made product designed specifically for professional drone applicators across the UK.

Developed in response to rapidly increasing demand for drone applications of natural liquid biostimulants, the Edwards Drone Pack contains a pre-mixed blend of soil enhancer EASy BioN and clean water. Each pack removes the need for on-site measuring, mixing, or sourcing clean water, and is formulated for drones to spray up to 3.29 acres of crops or grasslands.

Dave Edwards, CEO and co-founder of Edwards Seaweed Fertiliser UK, explained: The Edwards Drone Pack removes any complexity from drone application. By supplying the correct mix ready to spray and refill, drone operators can reduce their downtime, eliminate product loss, and focus on delivering precise applications of high-performance seaweed fertiliser, even in remote or difficult-to-access locations.”

The company suggested the ready-to-use format is particularly beneficial for operators working in challenging environments, where access to water and mixing facilities can be limited. By arriving pre-mixed and ready for application, the Edwards Drone Pack enables faster turnaround times and more productive drone spraying operations.

Complementing the launch, Edwards Seaweed Fertiliser UK is expanding its partnership with Nantwich-based drone services provider Aerial Applications to establish a nationwide network of professional drone operators.

Frazer Bloor, CEO of Aerial Applications, added: “More and more farmers are turning to precision drone technology, and, as sales of Edwards Seaweed fertiliser continue to expand UK-wide, this network will be a game changer in delivering regenerative solutions efficiently, responsibly, and without compromise.”

Both businesses stress drones offer numerous benefits, including accessing difficult or remote terrain, their ability to spray when ground machinery cannot travel during wet weather, and their precise application with minimal waste and reduced risk of leaching, plus no soil compaction from heavy machinery.
