Digital tool launched for water optimisation

Grundfos has announced the launch of its Grundfos Connect digital portfolio, a growing suite of digital solutions designed to help agricultural businesses and farmers optimise water use.

The National Farmers Union’s 10-year weather survey results revealed that 68% of NFU members have seen an increase in drought and 56% say they’ve seen an increase in flooding. Against this backdrop, the launch of the Grundfos Connect digital portfolio supports farmers and irrigation operators in doing more with less, the company claims.

The portfolio currently includes Grundfos Connect Asset Monitor, a simple, scalable digital solution for remote pump control that helps identify issues early and reduce wasted visits, water, and energy, while securing water supply to prevent loss of crops or livestock. It forms part of the broader Grundfos Connect portfolio, which will continue to evolve with additional digital solutions to help customers optimise their operations over time.

James Wright, service sales development manager, says: “Agricultural customers face rising costs, climate uncertainty, and increasing pressure to use water and energy efficiently. The digital portfolio provides simple, reliable digital tools that are easy to set up, requiring no special skills.”
