A new GNSS receiver for auto guidance has been launched by PTx Trimble.

The PTx Trimble NAV-960 is an upgrade to its predecessor, the NAV-900, with the company claiming improved speed, higher processing power and enhanced positioning performance.

Its GNSS engine has been developed to track more satellites, paired with inertial sensors, this combination is claimed to provide up to 50% improved positioning and line following.

The onboard ProPoint and IonoGuard technology also protects against downtime caused by solar events or scintillation.

“As the precision ag industry evolves, we are focused on innovative solutions that make it easier for farmers to tackle the critical challenges they face in the field, and to do so in a way that creates added value,” said Andrew Sunderman, vice president of product and customer experience.

“With the new NAV-960 guidance controller, farmers have access to some of the most advanced technical capabilities for GNSS positioning in the market, which ultimately helps to get the job done in less time and with more profitability.”

The NAV-960 is fully compatible with the company’s range of GFX displays.
