Trinity AgTech has acquired Agrimetrics’ suite of satellite data analytics technology to help equip farmers and landowners with the most robust insights into their natural capital assets.

Trinity AgTech’s platform, Sandy, is widely used as a tool for measuring and improving natural assets, covering soil health, carbon, biodiversity, water quality and financial performance, in one integrated system.

By combining these sources with satellite imagery and artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled analytics, Trinity AgTech’s smart software will deliver near real-time insights on soil condition, water flow and natural capital assets across every field in the UK. Early alerts.

The company says farmers will be alerted earlier to issues such as crop stress, disease risk or water shortages, and will be able to quantify outcomes, from yield forecasts to carbon sequestration, with greater credibility.

The enriched data will also support participation in markets for high-quality natural capital credits, by providing reliable evidence of environmental stewardship. “By using satellite data and our analytical technology to remotely monitor and analyse fields, we can free farmers from much of the data gathering, while still providing a far richer picture of what’s happening on their land. “It’s about working smarter, not harder, and it will help farmers make better, more credible and more profitable decisions in real time,” says Prof Jonathan Hillier, Trinity AgTech’s managing director of science.
