Haith’s PRO-Sort mobile optical sorter

The PRO-Sort modular unit which can be used in the field, on the farm or integrated into an existing line. With high levels of accuracy and the capacity to handle up to 100 tonnes per hour, the PRO-sort has been popular with growers facing labour shortages. Sales manager at Haith, Rob Highfield, is confident in the products appeal for international customers. He said: “We have customers around the world, including USA, Canada and Europe. As well as wanting to find cost-effective, reliable and efficient ways to receive, wash and grade their produce they are all starting to talk about having the flexibility to move their handling machinery to where it’s needed.

“Labour shortages and the cost of labour are significant issues for growers. I think these two factors are behind the increasing interest we’re seeing in our mobile solutions, such as our new mobile water treatment plant and the new PRO-Sort. We are looking forward to showing visitors to Fruit Logistica just how easy it is to transport and set up the PRO-Sort.”

The Fruit Logistica event will be the first time Haith has showcased the PRO-Sort and its strategic alliance with Grimme UK in Europe. Further information can be found at http://www.haith.co.uk and attendees at the event can visit stand A-21 in Hall 4.1.
