Amazone to launch first fully autonomous fertiliser spreader

Amazone is claiming a new era in precision agriculture with the launch of its new ZA-TS 01 spreader.

The company has combined various technologies so that it is now possible to determine not only the throwing direction but also the throwing distance and consequently the actual spread pattern in the field. Amazone states the view behind to the field is now a thing of the past.

Its unique AutoSpread system monitors the actual spread pattern of the fertiliser and automatically adjusts the settings to achieve optimum distribution. Linked to a digital twin via the AmaConnect Unit, the actual collected data is now compared with the known spread patterns of its digital twin using an AI-supported algorithm and is permanently validated in real-time. With the spread pattern permanently validated the operator no longer has to make any settings.

Section Control, HeadlandControl and WindControl are now optimally integrated via AutoSpread to counter environmental impacts. These are combined with a new border spreading system for optimum distribution to field boundaries. The CurveControl system maintains application accuracy when turning.

With growing diversity in the fertiliser market, a novel feature is EasyMatch as part of Amazone’s MySpreader app.

It provides spreading recommendations from images supplied by operators. This is referenced against an established database and AI analysis of various parameters, including granule size, shape and fertiliser structure.

The ZA-TS 01 spreader offers spread widths up to 54m, with capacities of 4,000 litres or 5,000 litres.
