Kubota has introduced an entry-level autosteer package for its agricultural machinery range.

Priced at under £6000 and sourced from Topcon, the Value Line Steering kit is available through the dealer network and can be specified with accuracy from 15cm pass-to-pass down to 1cm with an RTK signal.

It includes the XR-1 GNSS receiver, with a built gyroscope and accelerometer; the XW-1 electric steering wheel; and the 10in XC1 touchscreen terminal. The software used throughout eliminates the need for a mechanical wheel angle sensor, which will simplify installation and set-up.

“This new kit offers customers a price-sensitive package that delivers auto-steering functions to improve operational efficiency and reduce operator fatigue,” explains Jonathan Rook, Kubota UK’s product manager for agriculture. “The Value Line Steering kit brings affordable precision to any Kubota machine equipped with a steering wheel.”

Notably, despite being an entry-level system, the Value Line Steering package can handle a range of A/B line styles, including straight, centre-pivot, curved and custom guidance lines. Steer–to-Boundary, Guidelock and Headland Turns can also be added, as can basic Isobus implement control.

Those seeking higher accuracy can opt for an RTK Value Line Steering kit, costing £7545. The latter requires a 12-month RTK signal subscription costing £650.
