Massey Ferguson has announced the addition of the new MF 7S MARK 2 series to its tractor line-up, featuring six models from 170-245hp, which slot between the current MF 7S range and the larger MF 8S Xtra models.
According to the company, the MF 7S MARK 2 range offers significant changes from the current MF 7S models, with a six-cylinder, 7.5-litre engine; Dyna-VT transmission as standard on all models; a brand-new cab featuring MF’s Protect-U design; the latest MF technology options and fleet management software; and a new Datatronic 6 12in touchscreen.
Maximum power is available across a wide engine speed band, while the torque curve remains flat between 800 and 1,500rpm for all models. The efficient power and torque characteristics of the new engines means EPM isn’t required and early field tests have shown improved fuel efficiency compared with the previous engine.
All models are fitted with the two-range MF Dyna-VT transmission, offering a maximum speed of 57kph and new ParkLock and emergency brake features as standard.
The 2.95m wheelbase reduces the front ballast requirement for large rear implements. A new front axle contributes to an ultra-tight 5.3m turning radius, while a 14t GVW allows legal transport of the heaviest implements.
New MF 7S MARK 2 tractors will be the first with PTx FarmEngage supplied from the factory. The next-generation farm operations management software is compatible with all farm machinery brands to wirelessly transfer data for precise management and monitoring through the integrated telemetry system.
In addition, all tractor, machinery, field, cropping and task management data can be shared by USB or through the Cloud, thanks to the Connectivity Centre included in PTx FarmEngage.
