Vogelsang has made its SynCult slurry distributor available as a retrofittable tillage addition compatible with brands including Amazone, Horsch, and Lemken.
SynCult can be mounted onto tillage equipment with working widths from 4 to 12 metres to enable liquid manure or digestate to be added to soil during cultivation.
“Fewer passes mean less fuel and labour, while incorporating slurry during tillage work means the nutrients will be available to the crop when it’s planted. While SynCult is not new, we hope that with the pressures many farms are under, it will be adopted as an aftermarket retrofit for tillage equipment,” says Vogelsang’s Andy Hayhurst.
The SynCult features DosiMat DMX distributors for widths up to 7 metres and Vogelsang’s ExaCut distributor for larger units from 8 to 12 metres. A specially adapted galvanised mount enables the SynCult to be attached to common tillage equipment and its 50 DN hoses provide efficient flow of slurry or digestate.
“Incorporating slurry during cultivation will reduce emissions and ensure more of the valuable nutrients are secured in the soil, ready for the next crop. SynCult uses Vogelsang macerators and hoses to provide flow rates of up to 11,000 litres per minute, to provide ample coverage in all conditions,” adds Andy
Andy suggests that there could be a further application for the technology. “For some enterprising operators it may be possible to cultivate, apply slurry and seed in just one pass. SynCult could potentially be fitted to a power harrow, drill combi machine to provide natural fertiliser to seeds as they are planted,” he concludes.
