National Arable and Grassland Awards entries open

Entries are now open for the 2026 National Arable and Grassland Awards; a celebration of the continued hard work within our industry from growers, contractors and others who play a key role in ensuring crop and food production.

Organised by Agronomist & Arable Farmer and Farm Contractor & Large Scale Farmer, in association with BASIS and the National Association of Agricultural Contractors (NAAC), the awards will be handed out at top London venue, with a celebrity host, three course meal and entertainment into the early hours.

This year, the categories have been adjusted to recognise how the industry continues to develop. Forage Crop Grower of the Year will look at those maximising their yields in grass, maize and other forage crops, for either energy production or livestock feed, while Root Crop Grower of the Year incorporates both potato and vegetable crops, while also including those growing sugar beet. The winners of both of these categories will be included in the overall Grower of the Year award.

Recognising the valuable role that dealers play in keeping the industry moving, we have also introduced the Dealer of the Year award. This will celebrate the sales and service teams that offer support during the busiest times of the year, and who go above and beyond in their customer service.

Finally, we have added the Andrew Lawman Safety Award. Andrew was an advocate for safe operation within the industry but unfortunately lost his life in a farming accident in 2023. With the permission of his family, this award will celebrate a person or business who promotes best practise in farming and shows dedication to improving farming’s appalling health and safety statistics.
