The food bank charity, The Trussell Trust, has received a donation of £20,000 from Frontier Agriculture. The crop production and grain marketing company has gifted £20 for each of its 1,000 workers for the third year in a row.

The Trussell Trust work to provide food and support to people in need through the 1,200 food banks across the UK; the much-needed donation from Frontier was divided between eight food banks located close to Frontier sites in Lincoln, Bedford, West Berkshire, Waveney, Market Drayton, York, Aberdeen South and East Lothian.

Managing director of Frontier, Mark Aitchison, said: “The last few years have been challenging for us all, with the financial impact of Brexit, the global pandemic and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine affecting businesses, families and individuals. As a result, we have seen a significant rise in the cost of living and a growing reliance on food banks.

“A number of Frontier colleagues volunteer at Trussell Trust food banks across the country and we are fortunate to be in a position to donate to them again this year. We hope our donation will play a part in helping them to continue to provide vital support to those who need it most.”

The generous donation complements Frontier’s sustainability strategy, ‘The Responsible Choice’, which is built on the company’s values of integrity, customer focus and expertise.
