CF Fertilisers has appointed Adrian Street as marketing and communications manager to accelerate information and knowledge flow across its customers, the agri-supply chain and key stakeholders in light of the considerable changes now facing UK agriculture.

A Harper Adams graduate with considerable marketing experience built up in blue chip agricultural manufacturing and distribution companies at national and global level, Adrian will be responsible for balancing commercial communication objectives with wider educational ones.

“Whilst we obviously want everybody to understand the essential role of CF’s iconic blue bags in the agriculture of the future, we are equally determined to continue our role as a key player in the responsible communication of knowledge around fertiliser use,” he says.

“Carbon footprints for all our products, significant reductions in greenhouse gas from our manufacturing in recent years and the highest levels of Nitrogen fertiliser Use Efficiency (NfUE) on-farm, are just part of the great story we have to tell.”

CF Fertilisers Commercial Director Sam Bell believes Adrian’s ‘best in class’ global experience combined with his knowledge of customer-centric marketing, makes him a key addition to the company.

“UK agriculture is facing seismic change as a result of a new environmental vision allied to the need to produce food as sustainably as possible and the changes to the industry’s infrastructure as a result of Brexit,” she says.

“Coronavirus has also underlined the need to make our food chain as resilient as possible.

“Helping all people understand the critical role of fertiliser and the important decisions around its use on-farm in the future is an essential element of CF’s vision moving forward and we are delighted to have Adrian on board to help us achieve this.”
