JCB’s all-new Fastrac 6000 Series tractors will make their UK debut at Lamma.
The 284hp Fastrac 6260 and 335hp 6300 – recently crowned ‘Sustainable Tractor of the Year’ build on the success of the 178-235hp 4000 Series with more power for greater productivity using larger, higher-output implements.
JCB Agriculture Managing Director John Smith says: “It takes the JCB Fastrac into a new power and performance category, meeting the needs of farmers and contractors with outstanding features that create a highly-productive machine with unique capabilities in the field and on the road.”
The new models retain many of the features of their smaller siblings, including multi-mode four-wheel steering for exceptional manoeuvrability; an advanced suspension system for both axles, not just at the front; large externally-mounted disc brakes with ABS for both hard and loose surfaces; and a faster top speed – 66kph for the 6000 Series.
The new series also introduces additional features, including a fully-integrated central tyre inflation system operated through the iCON touch-screen control centre in the cab. Swapping between the two takes just a few minutes.
The new models are equipped with two satellite guidance signal receivers, a set-up that provides highly accurate low-speed guidance, increased accuracy over undulating terrain and quicker, more precise acquisition of pre-set waylines for efficient field work.
In addition to straight-line and curve guidance, the system provides a choice of automated headland turn pathways to increase ease of use through automation, and boost overall productivity, while the Twin Steer option individually controls the two steering axles for ultra-precise guidance.
